The Students' Gymkhana is the students' government organization of Institute which was established in 1962 for the purpose of :

1. Fostering a corporate life based on equality of status and sound moral judgement.
2. Developing all round extra-curricular activities to supplement education.
3. Advancing the general welfare of our fellow students.
4. To promote the development of skills in leadership, communication, and self reliance, amongst the students.
5. To promote the core values of commitment, respect, excellence, and accountability, amongst the students
6. To promote sports activities at institute, zonal and inter zonal level
7. To organize lectures, workshops & seminars by eminent personalities from different domains of expertise, competitions of various kinds etc.     round-the-year in order to create awareness & to sharpen business acumen of students & aspiring entrepreneurs.
8. To establish Senate of students for performing various activities under Gymkhana.
9. To promote new technological and intellectual property-based ventures.
10. To initiate and participate in social service activities of interest to the students and useful to the society at large.
11. To conduct cultural activities like Celebration of National Days, Birthdates of Great Indian People like Shivaji Maharaj, Shahu Maharaj,     Dr.Babasaheb Ambedkar, Mahatma Phule, Savitribai Phule, Mahatma Gandhi, Lokmanya Tilak, Lalbahadur Shastri etc.
12. To arrange Blood Donation Camp once in a year. This year, record-braking 204 staff and students donated blood for this noble cause.
